Research Interests
My research interests involve waste management and understanding anthropogenic influence on waterways and the surrounding watershed. I am interested in finding effective solutions to minimize our negative impacts while considering current and future economic, social, and environmental concerns. Current Work My current work involves narrowing the gap in the mass balance of nitrogen and phosphorus to match anthropogenic inputs and natural processes to monitored riverine exports for the Greater Toronto Area. I am especially interested with the unique features of urban areas and how they influence the transport of these nutrients. Once this is completed, I will look into the spatiotemporal trends between the 1960s and the present to note nutrient responses to features such as land use change and wastewater treatment plants.
